Sr. Financial Analyst

Position Description
Join CGI in this exciting opportunity to serve those who have served! We are seeking a strong mission focused Sr. Financial Analyst who is looking not only to do quality work but to make a positive impact in the Veteran community. The Sr. Financial Analyst will create strategically tailored financial plans for the VA's Health IT portfolios. We are looking for someone who is forward thinking and demonstrates strong attention to detail. Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Assist in development of operating plans.
  • Support the Government in the facilitation of cross-work stream business/financial integration.
  • Assist the Government in responding to assigned data calls.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative capital planning inputs.
  • Conduct budget year formulation.
  • Generate inputs for the operating plan.
  • Assist with generation of the out-year planner.
  • Assist in the development of the lifecycle funding requests.
  • Assist the Government in providing budget management technical support to product work streams.
  • Monitor and track monthly contractual obligations via a traceability matrix.
  • Conduct targeted review of status and identify points of risk.
  • Produce "what-if" analysis outcomes and identifying alternative strategies for risk mitigation.
  • Perform in depth fact verification, research and validation.
  • Report financial forecast to client, internal team and stakeholders.
  • Manage project and client financials according to contract.
  • Understanding key contract terms, the financial implications of changes in those terms and the technical accounting impact of contracts.
  • Propose improvements to the supporting analysis to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Be accountable for all deliverables and prioritize activities for client.
  • Deliver accurate, timely and in depth analysis results against forecast and budgets to business unit stakeholders.
  • Provide an outstanding product to contribute to excellence in service to our nation's Veterans.
    Required qualifications to be successful in this role
    • Bachelor's degree in a business discipline and 10 years of experience required. 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
    • Ability to obtain the equivalent to a Public Trust clearance with the U.S. Federal Government.
    • Strong financial planning and risk analysis skills.
    • Discerning eye for details.
    • Impeccable research, verification and analysis skills.
    • Ability to forecast for multiple outcomes.
    • Proven analytical skills and the ability to communicate with non-finance stakeholders.
    • Independent decision making.
    • Comfortable presenting to internal and external groups.
    • Passion for providing quality service to our nations Veterans.
    • Business acumen and the ability to professionally represent CGI's mission, vision, and values.
