Position Title: Assistant/Associate ProfessorDepartment:
2760-School of GeosciencesResponsibilities: This is a full-time,
tenure-track faculty position
in Structural Geology / Tectonics. We seek a colleague who will
complement our existing strengths. The successful applicant will
teach
undergraduate and graduate courses in Structural Geology /
Tectonics as well as courses in their own geological science
specialty.These courses are part of the curriculum of the following
degrees: PhD in
Earth and Energy Sciences, MSc in Geology,
and BSc in Geology. The applicant must be capable of building a
strong, externally funded research program. The
position involves mentoring students at the undergraduate
and graduate levels and engagement in School, College and
University service.
The applicant must also demonstrate institutional citizenship
through active engagement at the school, college, university,
community, and professional levels. Scientists from
underrepresented groups in STEM fields are particularly
