Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.

considered. Providing specialized education support in a full-time
role at a high school setting, this position involves working
within a lower-functioning, self-contained classroom focused on
functional curriculum. The team includes two paraprofessionals and
one Registered Behavior Technician, offering collaborative support
to meet students' individual needs. The opportunity is based in
LaFayette, Georgia, with an anticipated duration through May 22,
2026, with the potential for contract renewal based on performance.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver instruction and adapt curriculum to
meet the unique needs of students with disabilities in a functional
curriculum classroom. Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals
and behavior technicians to ensure cohesive support and positive
outcomes for students. Monitor individual student progress and
adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Maintain compliance with
state and federal special education regulations and documentation
requirements. Qualifications: Active Georgia Professional Standards
Commission Special Education Certification with content endorsement
up to 8th grade. Adapted Curriculum Endorsement required;
candidates with pending credentials will be considered. Experience
working with lower functioning students in a self-contained
classroom desirable. Strong communication and teamwork skills to
engage effectively with support staff and stakeholders. Location:
LaFayette High School, LaFayette, GA Benefits: Full-time contract
