Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.

considered. A rewarding opportunity is available for a Special
Education Teacher specializing in K-1st grade to support students
in an elementary resource classroom setting. This full-time,
contract position spans a full semester, starting as soon as
possible through May 22, 2026, and is located in the Baton Rouge,
LA area. Responsibilities include: Designing and implementing
individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students unique
learning needs. Collaborating with general education teachers,
support staff, and families to create inclusive learning
environments. Monitoring student progress and adjusting
instructional strategies to achieve academic and developmental
goals. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance
with special education guidelines. Providing direct instruction,
behavioral support, and social skill development for students in
the resource classroom. Desired qualifications and experience:
Valid certification in Special Education. Experience teaching
students in grades K-1, with a focus on resource classroom
settings. Strong understanding of individual learning differences
and ability to adapt curriculum accordingly. Excellent
communication and teamwork skills to engage with students, parents,
and colleagues effectively. Ability to maintain a positive and
motivating classroom environment. Location: Baton Rouge, LA
