OverviewJST is currently seeking a Sr. Audio Visual Engineer to join our IT team. The Senior Audio Visual Engineer is responsible for installing, pulling, terminating and testing all audio visual (AV) type cables, connectors, and interfaces. The Sr. AV Engineer must have the ability to install projections screens, plasma TV's and different types of speakers. Installation of AV systems on client sites. Read blueprints and wire AV racks. Manage AV projects with various models and makes of equipment. As the Sr AV Engineer, your will also lead AV Engineers as well as manage AV Engineering projects. Sr. Audio Visual Engineer ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop audio, video and data conferencing solutions using Audio, Video and UI components and control systemsInstall, test and support Audio and Video control systems both onsite and remotelyEngage in user, system and support requirements gathering and analysisWork with the Network Architecture group to provide design and architectural recommendations as it relates to AV systemsDetermine equipment requirements and cost analyses for installations, ranging from simple to broad complexityResponsible for final approval of equipment requirements and costsDevelop, set up, test, and maintain equipment used for videoconferencing integrated room systems and special custom projectsResearch and recommend purchases to maintain or increase capacity of operationsUpgrade and configure current software and hardware already in operationInstall, configure, and maintain Commercial off the Shelf AV softwareManage schedules and perform maintenance on electronic media equipmentResearch and implement procedures to reduce support overhead of AV systems Develops, organizes and maintains standard operational procedures (including regular maintenance requirements) and workflow processes and procedures for AV systemsCreate and maintain system and customization documentation for testing and validation of the AV systemsDevelop, publish and maintain statistical and management reports of equipment inventoryTroubleshoot existing source codeSr. Audio Visual Engineer QualificationsBachelors of Science Degree in Engineering/Computer Science10+ years of experience leading technical teams3+ years of VTC setup and configuration experience3+ years of VTC Engineering experience4+ years of IT Desktop Service and Support Desk experienceDemonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office productsMust possess the ability to read and understand system technical drawingsExperienced with Tandberg/Cisco systems installation, maintenance and troubleshootingExpertise with AMX Control system installationAbility to install control system hardware and download control system source CodeExpertise with Audio Digital Signal Processing EquipmentAbility to download, troubleshoot, and create DSP configurationsAbility to STIG VTCsProven success with strategic planning, process re-engineering and project management.Thorough understanding and working knowledge of testing, analyses and corrective action on systems, networks, hardware and software in a Professional Audio/Video environmentKnow and understand all wire and connector types on all AV related cableMust possess an in-depth knowledge of installation, operation, scheduling and support of desktop and conference room VTC systems in a secure government or military environment including ISDN, Inverse Multiplexers, CODECs and H.320/H.323 protocolsMust possess a thorough working knowledge of AV concepts such as acoustics, lighting, aspect ratios, and font size versus distance, scan rates, video standards and transmission systemsMust possess strong verbal and written communication experience to engage and support General OfficersHighly motivatedMust be able to lift up to 25 poundsMust be physically able to deliver and install computer equipment and printersMust be able to crawl under desks for installation processMust be able to sit and stand for long periods of timeOccasional overtime and travel may be requiredRequired Clearances and ScreeningsMUST possess an active Top-Secret Clearance COVID 19 requirements are in line with government policies and CDC guidance About Joint Strategic Technologies (JST) No objective is beyond reach!
