Brunel is currently searching for a Service Engineer for a full time position with one of our clients in the Broussard, LA area. This is a permanent direct hire position with our client offering a great salary along with an excellent benefits package. This position is both an onsite technician position were you will work on equipment at the Broussard facility, and also an offsite technician were you will work at client locations responsible for the commissioning, operating and decommissioning of our equipment. This position splits it's time between the home office and at client locations. Job description:In the field, the Commissioning & Operations Technician is responsible for the on-site commissioning, operating and decommissioning of equipment. You are responsible for these services and solving defects of equipment at our customer's locations worldwide, both onshore and offshore.While at the main facility you are responsible for commissioning, inspections and performing maintenance to our equipment at our location in Broussard, Louisiana. With your knowledge and expertise, you contribute to the different phases and areas of designing, producing, commissioning and deployment of our worldwide reputed equipment. You will coordinate and hands-on execute commissioning and Site Acceptance Tests for state of the art hydraulic systems on board offshore vessels and -installations in accordance with the technical specifications and contractual requirements. After delivery you will independently resolve defects and perform maintenance and repairs on complex hydraulic installations and equipment around the world. Requirements: - A degree in mechanical engineering and / or controls engineering, hydraulic engineering or equal work experience. - At least three years of professional experience as a commissioning/service engineer for hydraulic installations. Experience in the Offshore Wind, Oil & Gas or Coastal & Civil industry is an advantage. - Offshore safety and emergency training e.g. BOSIET/HUER approved by the OLF, NOGEPA and OPITO guidelines (or being prepared to follow these courses) - English speaking but bilingual in Spanish and additional languages is a big plus.
