us on our journey?Provide leadership of the Material Flow teams;
including conveyance teams, supermarkets, receiving and shipping
teams. Plan and coordinate material flow to fully support day to
day operations. Design systems and tugger routes that support
ergonomics, quality, delivery and cost initiatives. Responsible for
leadership of the materials function to ensure no disruption to
plant operations. The position will also lead the daily material
flow efforts and drive continuous improvement in material

You'll Create PossibilitiesApply Lean Six Sigma tools to drive
Roper Corporation's continuous process improvement efforts. Mentor
direct reports in using Lean Six Sigma techniques in solving
material flow-related problems, e.g. yamazumi diagram, time
observation, PDCA, signaling systems, and on, and escalation
activities. Develop and lead efforts to improve and maintain
accurate receiving processes and perpetual inventory records.
Manage receiving and outbound transportation activities to include
load plans. Work closely with operations to provide adequate
storage space for all purchased parts. Also develop, maintain, and
optimize a "Plan for Every Part" in a lean JIT environment.
Maximize the application of returnable containers to the fullest
practical extent.Develop supplier relationships to proactively
reduce cycle time, effectively respond to electronic scheduling and
support container design activities.What You'll Bring to Our
TeamMinimum Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree required, ideally in engineering, supply chain
management or business.
- Leadership experience and/or technical acumen within supply
chain (i.e.: manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, materials,
quality, procurement, fulfillment or related functional
area).Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing
environment, supplier management and project implementation.
- Six Sigma certification preferred, with strong knowledge of
Lean, DMAIC, workout and other change mechanisms.
- Demonstrated accomplishments showing results-driven
methodology, analytical methods, schedule achievement, team
work.
- Lean Manufacturing implementation experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and
leadership influencing skills.Position Requirement
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals at all levels
of the organization to achieve operational results and positive
union relations.
- High level of initiative, energy and motivation to develop &
grow in a team environment
- Organizational skills, initiative, and ability to handle
multiple priorities and tasks.
- Strong technical competency & experience.
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving & follow-through ability.
- Ability to facilitate team projects.
- Position supports 24/7 manufacturing facilities. Occasional off
shift, on call and weekend work may be required.Working Conditions:
- Working conditions are normal for both an office and
manufacturing environment.
- Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 25
pounds.
- Working in the manufacturing environment requires the use of
safety equipment to include but not limited to: safety glasses,
