Job Description:
Women's and Children's Hospital located in Lafayette, Louisiana,is a 110-bed hospital. Beyond our newbornnursery and full range of routine and high-risk obstetrical care, Women's &Children's Hospital has the only Level III Regional Neonatal Intensive CareUnit in Acadiana and one of only eight in the state. Women's & Children'sHospital is also home to Acadiana's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and theregion's only children-dedicated emergency department, the kids ER. Because of the specialized team of medicalprofessionals, advanced equipment and facilities, Women's & Children'sHospital has become a healthcare referral center for other hospitals andhealthcare professionals throughout the Acadiana area. The manager is responsible and accountable forplanning, coordinating, and directing educational activities in these units toassure safe, quality care in a cost-effective manner. The manager is also aclinical resource person who acts as a role model for the staff. He/shedetermines staff needs and identifies areas for improvement. PositionRequirements: * Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current State of Louisiana R.N. License/Permit. * Education: Completion of nursing program at an accredited school, BSNpreferred; * Experience: 2 years clinical experience required; pediatric experience preferred * Special Qualifications: CurrentHealth Care Provider CPR through AHA, PALS within 6 mths of hire.
