Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM Experience: --- 12 months of role experience is required from any number of months. --- 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience is required from any number of months. Requirements: --- Candidates must have a Louisiana license or compact license (required for submission). --- This role will require floating to multiple units --- Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live > 65 miles from facility to be submitted.--- COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted. --- Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted. Additional Details: All staff may be required to work during a hurricane with all necessary safety precautions in place. Please only submit if you are willing to provide care during hurricane season. No block scheduling allowed. Patient Diagnoses: Chest pain, CAD, PVD, arrhythmias, DM, COPD exacerbation, PNA, HTN, MI, renal failure, PE, CHF, GI bleed, syncope, Always potential for med-surg overflow (ex: GI bleed, sepsis, CVA, COVID +) Every other holiday Special Equipment: Telemetry monitoring, Chest Tubes, PCAs, Epidurals, Wound Vacs Required Certs/Skills: Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, On unit monitoring, CABG, Chest tubes, Post angiogram, MI, Cardiac Cath, and sheath removal, Port accessing, Blood product administration, Central line, Peripheral line, and PICC line care/management, Starting IVs, Titrate cardiac drips, Titrate vasoactive drips, Isolation precautions, Wound care/management Orientation held 5 days a week 2 references from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission Driver's license required for submission Certifications: --- BLS (Basic Life Support)
