Candidates will engage in a fast-paced environment with progressive care and advanced technology. The unit consists of 36 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6. There are 12-hour shifts required, with positions available for every other weekend and holidays. The unit is staffed with unit secretaries and patient care technicians to support nursing staff. Important equipment includes telemetry monitoring in each room and documentation via a specific system. Hourly rounding and bedside shift reporting are standard practices within the unit. Nurses are expected to float to other units as required based on patient needs. Certified Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center procedures are supported within the unit.
