and maintaining IVs Telemetry monitoring Description: This position
involves working in a medical-surgical/telemetry unit. You will
care for patients with conditions such as chest pain, coronary
artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, arrhythmias, diabetes
mellitus, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia,
hypertension, myocardial infarction, renal failure, pulmonary
embolism, congestive heart failure, gastrointestinal bleeding, and
syncope. There is always the potential for medical-surgical
overflow cases. Special procedures include pre/post catheterization
lab procedures, pacemaker management, ablations, and vascular
surgeries. You will be responsible for titration of drips and
sheath pulling at the bedside. Every other holiday work may be
required, and you could be reassigned to other inpatient units as
needed. This position requires effective management of telemetry
monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Wound care and
management experience is essential. A strong emphasis is placed on
isolation precautions and patient safety protocols. Candidates must
be prepared for emergency response situations, especially during
adverse weather events. You should be comfortable being part of a
team and possess good communication skills. Flexibility with
