Job Description:
ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU -
Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Lafayette,
Louisiana. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: NICU -
Neonatal Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/15/2025
Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights
Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - General Job Details: •
Work in NICU with patient ratios of 1:3 for days, nights, and
weekends • Float to Mother Baby and Pediatrics units as needed •
Weekend coverage required every other weekend • 24-hour orientation
provided • 2 years of experience in specialty required • Travel
experience required - first time travelers not accepted •
Post-operative experience required • Must live over 65 miles from
facility (local travelers not accepted) • Epic charting system
experience required • Required certifications: BLS and NRP (AHA
certifications required) • Louisiana Compact or LA license required
upon submittal • NURSYS report required with profile (must be
within 4 weeks of submission) • 2 Manager/Supervisor references
required for clearance (Charge RNs not acceptable) • Care for
neonates and infants with various conditions including prematurity,
respiratory distress syndrome, hypoglycemia, and congenital
anomalies • Work with specialized equipment including oscillators,
bubble CPAP, HFNC, and transcutaneous CO2 monitors • Perform
procedures such as umbilical lines, lumbar puncture assistance, and
PICC line management • Average daily census of 30 patients in
46-bed unit • Must be available during hurricane season (June 1 -
November 30) and may be assigned to Emergency Team • Strict no
call-in policy enforced Facility: This medical center features a
comprehensive NICU department with Level II, III, and IV
capabilities, providing specialized care for premature infants and
neonates with complex medical conditions. The facility offers 46
beds with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services,
radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretaries. The
organization maintains high standards for patient care and requires
extensive experience and certifications from their nursing staff to
ensure optimal outcomes for their youngest patients. Location:
