Job Description:

qualified NICU RN in Lafayette, Louisiana, 70503! Pay Information
$2,038 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:45 - 07:15) Experience: Minimum of 2
years in NICU License: Compact or state licensure required
Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: - Epic charting system
experience - Previous charge experience preferred - Patient ratio
experience of 1:3 Description: This position is in a commonly
impacted area for hurricanes. The hurricane season runs from June 1
to November 30, but storms can occur outside of that period. Upon
acceptance of the assignment, the unit manager may assign you to an
Emergency Team. There will be an expectation to stay at the
facility until after the storm passes or to be part of the relief
team. Specific details pertaining to pay during storm impacts will
be provided. By signing the travel contract, you agree to report as
assigned by the unit manager if a storm occurs. This role involves
caring for neonates and infants with various conditions, including
but not limited to: Prematurity Respiratory distress syndrome
Hypoglycemia Congenital anomalies Feeding difficulties The average
daily census is around 30 patients with a patient-to-nurse ratio of
1:3. You will be required to float to mother-baby and pediatric
units as needed. Weekend coverage will be required every other
weekend. You must possess the skills necessary for neonatology and
be proficient in the administration of various medications and
treatments. Experience in post-operative care is also required. The
facility does not accept local travelers, and candidates must
reside over 65 miles from the facility. References and
participation in required orientation training will be necessary.
