Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Louisiana Start Date: December 15, 2025 Location: Alexandria, Louisiana Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Rotating every other weekend; possible circulator call Highlights: - High-volume OB unit with 2 triage rooms, 10 labor rooms, and 2 operating rooms - Patient ratios of 1:1 or 2:1 based on acuity - Modern equipment including fetal monitors, IUPC, FSE, fluid warmers, IV pumps, and epidural pumps - EMR systems: CPN and Meditech - Closed unit with cross-training to postpartum as needed - Comprehensive case mix including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, amniocentesis, amnioinfusions, and IUPC/FSE placement Requirements: - Active RN license - BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required - Proficiency in starting IVs and drawing labs - Ability to interpret fetal strips - Skilled in vaginal exams and OB circulator role - Scrub experience preferred but not required Why It's a Great Opportunity: Join a dedicated women's and children's hospital team committed to family-centered care in a well-equipped, fast-paced environment.
