with Cynet Health to find a qualified PICU RN in Alexandria,
Louisiana, 71301! Job Title: Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse
Profession: RN Specialty: PICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night
Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN
license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: 1 year pediatric
ICU nursing experience Description: 80-mile radius required. The
facility is focused on providing high-quality, efficient, and
compassionate healthcare services. They have a commitment to the
development of a coordinated healthcare delivery system. The

healthcare services and advanced technology. They are licensed for
328 beds and fully accredited. The Pediatric Intensive Care unit
has 6 beds. During day shifts, there is 1 charge nurse and 1
RN/LPN, with numbers varying based on census. During night shifts,
there is 1 charge nurse and 1 RN/LPN, with numbers varying based on
census. The patient care ratio is 1:1-2. The unit is equipped with
Alaris IV pumps, Bair huggers, Kangaroo feeding pumps, Giraffe
infant warmers, ventilators, BiPap, and high flow oxygen.
Electronic medical records are managed using Meditech and Pyxis.
Typical procedures performed in the unit include spinal taps and
titration of critical drips. Other procedures include sedated MRI,
EKG/EEG/telemetry, port access and discontinuation, and
intubation/extubation. The ideal candidate is patient, able to
multitask, and effective in prioritizing tasks. Self-starters who
are organized are encouraged to apply. May float to lower acuity
areas as needed. Schedule may require rotating weekends and mixed
