Experience: Minimum 1 year of pediatric ICU nursing experience
License: RN Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: Candidates
without the required qualifications will not be considered for the
role. 1 year of pediatric ICU nursing experience is required.
Description: The role involves providing high-quality, efficient,
and compassionate health care services for patients. Teamwork,
accountability, respect, and safety are core values within the
unit. Candidates should have experience with critical care nursing
and pediatric patients. Day shift consists of 1 charge nurse and
varying RN/LPN count based on census. Night shift has similar
staffing patterns. Patient ratios are typically 1:1 to 1:2.
Equipment used includes IV pumps, feeding pumps, infant warmers,
ventilators, and high flow oxygen. The electronic medical record
system is Meditech, and medication dispensing is through Pyxis.
Typical procedures performed include spinal taps, titration of
critical drips, sedated MRI, EKG/EEG, and telemetry. Candidates
should be experienced in procedures such as port access and
intubation/extubation. The ideal candidate should be patient, able
to multitask, prioritize effectively, and organized. May float to
other departments as needed. Weekend shifts are rotating, and mixed
schedules of days, nights, and weekends may be required to fill
