The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and caring for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. You will work collaboratively with physicians and nurses to provide respiratory therapy services and ensure optimal patient outcomes. Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field. Current LA license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist. Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) AHA BLS required Responsibilities: Assess and evaluate patients with respiratory conditions and recommend appropriate treatment plans. Administer therapeutic procedures such as oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, mechanical ventilation, chest physiotherapy, and pulmonary function testing. Monitor patient responses to treatments and adjust care as necessary in consultation with physicians. Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment, ensuring safety and effectiveness. Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques, including inhaler use and at-home breathing exercises. Respond to emergency situations, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and code blue responses. Maintain accurate and timely patient records in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans and promote positive patient outcomes. Ensure compliance with infection control, safety procedures, and HIPAA guidelines.
