Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN with Epic experience and strong post-operative skills to join a busy neonatal intensive care unit. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Position is in a hospital-based Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) - Average daily census of 30 neonates with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio - NICU nurses float to Mother Baby and Pediatrics units as needed - Night shifts, 3x12 hours per week (18:45–07:15) - Every other weekend coverage is required - Epic EMR experience is required - May be assigned to an Emergency Team during facility emergencies, requiring extended on-site presence or participation in relief efforts - Should be comfortable working in a large, fast-paced NICU environment - Adherence to RTO policy is required, with all requests discussed during the interview - Scrub color or dress code details may be provided during onboarding /n /n Requirements/n - Active LA or Compact RN license required - Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications required - Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience required - Must have post-operative neonatal experience - Experience with Epic charting system required - First-time travelers are not accepted - Must reside 65 or more miles from the facility /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-668746.
