Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Alexandria,
Louisiana. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED -
Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP -
Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights -
Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local
Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of
recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be
able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon
successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral
bonus available. Opportunity: RN - ED ER Job Details: • Work
12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Full-time position •
Every other weekend requirement • No on-call responsibilities • No
floating required • 4:1 nurse to patient ratio • 1 year of
experience in related nursing specialty preferred • Bachelor of
Science Degree in Nursing preferred • Required certifications: BLS,
current ACLS, current PALS, CPI Blue Card • RN License in state of
employment or compact required • Work with very high acuity
patients including heavy load of strokes, cardiovascular, diabetes,
wounds, behavioral health and sepsis cases • Some trauma cases but
not a trauma designated unit • Provide routine and complex nursing
care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis,
planning, intervention and evaluation • Administer medications and
treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness •
Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given •
Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and family
members • Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days
of hire • Complete annual competency verification requirements •
Security is onsite 24/7 • Temporary to permanent opportunity
