working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Ortho RN
in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 70809! Job Title: Registered Nurse
Profession: Nursing Specialty: Orthopedics Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years of
experience required. Previous travel experience required. License:
State or compact licensure is required. Certifications: BLS
required. Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred. -
Patient ratio experience required. Description: This position
requires a minimum of three years of nursing experience. Previous
travel experience is necessary. The nurse will be responsible for
providing care to adult and geriatric patients. Patient ratios on
nights will be 6:1. The daily census is expected to be around 24
patients. The unit will see a variety of orthopedic diagnoses.
Common skills for this position include management of surgical
drains, central lines, and IVs. The nurse should be skilled in
monitoring cardiac drips and managing PCA. Experience with total
joint replacements and orthopedic trauma is essential. Additional
expertise in wound care and airway management is also required.
Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams such as physical therapy
and pharmacy is expected. Float requirements may apply within the
