NICURegistered Nurse: The NICU Staff RN is responsible for the planning and implementation oftotal patient care for the neonate in NICU. Assists in coordinating direct/indirect patientcare with other departments. This is a 51 bedRegional III NICU - capable of managing micro-preemies, surgical babiesincluding general surgery, and neurosurgical infants. Active neonatal transport team capable of stabilizingand transporting babies on high frequency ventilation and transport coolingcapabilities. Patient nurse ratios of1:1-3:1 in Level III and 3-4:1 in Level II. Total of 15 weeks of orientation. Orientation is split into WBN, Level II andLevel III with a 40 hours didactic class prior to level III orientation withdedicated preceptors for each level.
