This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced restaurant environment and enjoys leading a team. Position Overview The Assistant / Floor Manager supports daily operations by overseeing floor service, assisting staff, maintaining service standards, and helping with basic administrative tasks. This position plays a key role in ensuring guests receive exceptional service while supporting management and staff. Responsibilities Oversee daily floor operations during assigned shifts Supervise and support front-of-house staff Ensure excellent guest experience and service standards Open and/or close the restaurant (key holder duties) Handle basic cash management and shift reports Assist with scheduling and shift coverage as needed Enforce company policies and procedures Address guest concerns professionally and efficiently Complete light administrative and office tasks Communicate effectively with management and team members Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Additional Opportunities Opportunity to be scheduled in another department (serving, bar, etc.) once management shift requirements are met Qualifications Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred Leadership or supervisory experience a plus Strong communication and organizational skills Dependable, punctual, and professional Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to stand and move for extended periods Compensation & Benefits Pay: $15$18/hour, depending on experience Flexible scheduling (part-time or full-time) Growth and advancement opportunities Supportive, team-oriented work environment How to Apply Interested candidates may apply in person at Tsunami Sushi in Lafayette or submit their resume to management
