Job Description:

Our busy personal injury law firm is looking for an efficient, organized paralegal to help our attorneys assist our clients and ensure we're operating efficiently. You'll assist with the preparation of legal documents, and handle all office correspondence including answering phone calls and emails, arranging meetings, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines. If you have experience in a personal injury law firm environment, work well under pressure, are a natural self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and are looking for a rewarding opportunity in the legal industry, we want to meet with you.

Responsibilities:
--- Accept other administrative tasks as needed to assist the team and ensure the firm runs smoothly
--- Gather and analyze intake information and documents with new files and enter relevant information into case management software
--- Set up claims and verify coverage with insurance companies and maintain communication with adjusters regarding case status
--- Telephone calls with clients to obtain treatment updates and relevant case information on a regular and ongoing basis
--- Requesting medical records and bills and confirming medical balances
--- Compiling relevant medical bills for a demand package
--- Maintaining client files, including scanning medical records, bills, and other pertinent documents and updating case management software
--- Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and demand letters for attorney review

Qualifications:
--- Candidates should have strong organizational skills and communication skills
--- Some college is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required
--- Ability to comfortably use all Microsoft Office products
--- Some knowledge of legal software, case management, and docketing programs
--- Able to meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment
--- Possesses exceptional organizational skills as well as effective communication skills, both written and oral
--- Ability to multitask and stay self-motivated
--- Experience drafting legal documents
--- 3-5 years of case management process experience preferred
--- Personal Injury experience is strongly preferred
