IU Health Arnett and West Central Region Chief Nursing Officer
The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) will cultivate a values based
culture that results in a highly engaged, robust team centered
workforce to deliver on both short and long term objectives. This
role collaborates with senior leadership and front-line team
members to execute corporate development strategy and motivates
change initiatives across the region to optimize organizational
potential. The incumbent is encouraged to be a transformational
leader who develops and supports a strong vision, a nursing
shared-leadership structure, a professional practice model, and
quality plans in a highly matrixed environment. Specific duties
include, but are not limited to, administration, management and
implementation of policies and programs in the functional areas of
nursing and other clinical areas. The CNO is responsible for
nursing policies, procedures, and standards to ensure quality care
and nursing efficiency. As the CNO, this position ensures that
patient expectations are met or exceeded, assures the organization
can implement its mission, coordinates and integrates the care

maintains a climate of trust and inspires commitment from other to
achieve organizational goals.
A track record of leading transformational change, inspiring
others to adapt to values, strategies, goals and plans in response
to changing business conditions.
A blend of management skills with technical expertise proven by
superior planning, decision-making, negotiation, business and
financial management skills/knowledge with a focus on adding value
to the bottom line of the business to foster a preeminent
