that follows.Essential Job Functions (which include but are not
limited to):Maintenance and operation of a variety of field
machining equipment, including pipe beveling and cutting, line
boring, and flange facing, among other services.Inspection and
testing, as well as preventive maintenance such as disassembly,
inspection, reassembly, function test, final inspection, and
correct packaging, keep equipment ready for use.Listening to
operator/customer complaints, conducting inspections, rectifying
equipment failures, repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic,
and pneumatic system faults, replacing parts and components, and
correcting aesthetic damageWorks with portable machining equipment
in a variety of settings, including power plants, paper mills,
shipyards, manufacturing plants, chemical plants, refineries, steel
mills, mines, wind farms, and heavy equipment.Client communication
is ongoing. You will be the primary contact for your
client.Required abilities:- Excellent verbal and written
communication abilities.- Aspiring and quick to work, but with
diligence and attention to detail.- Basic mechanical, hydraulic,
and electrical systems knowledge.- Keep your work area tidy and
organized.- Prioritize the safety and quality of your products.-
The ability to read and comprehend schematics and assembly drawings
is required.- Ability to collaborate with others on a team, high
flexibility, and a "Get it Done" attitude.- Time management
abilities, including the capacity to plan and prioritize work
without supervision.- Mechanical aptitude or the ability to learn,
remember, and apply information about our goods.- Ability to
understand and comprehend instructions and processes, as well as
execute simple math calculations.Physical Exertions:- Bend, squat,
kneel, and stoop regularly as the employee is required to stand,
walk, sit, use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects and
instruments.- Lifting and or moving limitations will require
regular lifting or moving of 50 pounds or less.Position Type and
Work Hours Expected:- This is a full-time job opportunity.When you
are in the shop, the days and hours of work are Monday through
Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.- When working onsite, you may be needed
to perform 12-hour shifts for numerous weeks in a row.- Working
extra hours as needed.Working Conditions:Working with, in, or near
loud noises, chemicals, vibrations, hot/humid, cold, and other
exterior weather situations.Travel:When working onsite, this role
is expected to travel 50% to 60% of the time.- Overnight travel is
also expected on a regular basis.Education and experience
requirements:- A high school diploma or its equivalent is
required.- 2+ years of mechanically inclined experience (field
machining is not required).Additional Eligibility Requirements:- A
valid driver's license is required.- Must not have been convicted
of a felony in the previous seven years and must not be on any
domestic or foreign watch lists.- Passing fit-for-duty physicals,
background checks, and drug-and-alcohol testing programsYou should
be proficient in:
- Preventive Maintenance
- Electrical Schematics
- Mechanical troubleshooting
- Pneumatics
- HydraulicsSalary info:$22.50 - $31.25 / hr
