Position Description
We're growing rapidly and are looking for a User Experience Specialist to collaborate cross-functionally to support human centered design activities for one of our Federal client's complex portfolio of systems. This opportunity will support a dynamic, fast-paced and energetic program for a large Federal government organization. You will be interacting with a dynamic team of people, with opportunities to learn and grow as you help deliver the overall solution to our client.

Your future duties and responsibilities
As a User Experience Specialist you will be responsible for interaction design efforts for web based applications and products and will work to develop strategies and specifications to improve the performance, usability, and effectiveness of user interfaces.
Utilizing a User Centered Design approach, you will synthesize information gathered from stakeholder interviews, user feedback, and data analytics, as well as heuristic and competitive analyses, to develop personas, journey maps, and interactive wireframes to illustrate the layout, flow, and organization of web based applications and products. In addition, you will facilitate usability testing and determine how best to integrate these findings into future user interface enhancements.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Operations Research or related fields and 5yrs of experience required *5yrs of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
  • Ability to obtain a the equivalent to a Public Trust clearance with the U.S. Federal Government
  • Knowledge of UX design tools such as Axure RP, Sketch, InVision, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience creating user centered design deliverables including heuristic evaluations, competitive analysis, personas, journey maps, interactive wireframes, and usability test plans and analysis
  • Experience conducting rapid prototyping
  • Experience with Agile, writing User Stories and Acceptance Criteria, working in JIRA or Rally
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies such as Data Analytics and IoT
  • Familiarity with Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality/Mixed Reality
  • Familiarity with 508 compliance
  • Discerning eye for details
  • Impeccable research, verification, and analysis skills
  • Independent decision making
  • Comfortable presenting to internal and external groups
