About Us:New Gen Products (NGP) is headquartered in Irving,
Texas, 10 minutes from downtown Dallas. The company was established
in 2009. We founded the company on the idea that new technologies
should be integrated into the marketplace quickly if they can
improve productivity. We have aligned ourselves with leading
manufacturers who invest in R&D and are always producing "New
Generation" products to address the needs of industry.Although NGP
is a junior in terms of age, we are the patriarch in terms of
experience and expertise. Our staff has a combined 185 years of
experience in valve automation and flow control. We have a full
automation shop including assembly, testing, machining and
fabrication. NGP serves customers in the following industries:
- Petrochemical
- Refining
- Power
- Solar
- Pulp and Paper
- Oil and Gas
- Cement
- Food and BeverageSummary:This position is responsible for
selling all products and service offered by company. The Outside
Sales Representative will develop ongoing, profitable relationships
with customers, existing and new, as well as maintain a
professional image of the company. It is essential that this
individual be a self starter with integrity, passion, and
interpersonal skills.Territory:Southern LouisianaEssential
Functions:
- Manage all targeted accounts and generate sales from within the
client base, as well as constantly investigate new clients for
continual growth
- Overcome objections of prospective customers to earn new
business for company
- Clearly identify any issues such as delivery, price, brand,
quality, etc.
- Actively manage sales calls to maximize coverage of assigned
territory in a time efficient manner
- Use CRM software to maximize sales efficiency and
effectiveness.
- Conduct professional presentations of company products and
services during customer visits either individually or with a
manufacturer's assistance
- Assess market conditions and competition and advise
management
- Attend trade and regional shows as requested
- Work on project opportunities: review P & IDs and engineering
specifications and assist clients with proper sizing of valves and
actuators
- Routinely reference CRM (Selltis) for sales opportunities
- Communicate effectively with customers and inside sales team to
build and maintain strong relationships
- Maintain quality service by following organization
standards
- Continually expand product knowledge by studying new
descriptions and literature
- Work towards organization goals by accepting ownership for
accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities
to add value to job accomplishments
- Assist in maintaining CRM database with any customer updates
(contacts, phone numbers, etc.)
- Execute timely preparation of expense reports, sales visits,
and journaling in CRMEducation & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, and/or
- 5+ years related experience with similar products, and/or
- Equivalent outside sales training
- Industrial distribution or engineering background is
desiredCompetencies:
- Computer Skills - Knowledge of Microsoft Office, as well as CRM
knowledge and QuickBooks; Fluent in utilization of the
internet.
