qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Lafayette, Louisiana, 70503! Pay

Experience in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of
dysrhythmias - Ability to manage cardiac drips and vasoactive drips
- Proficiency in central line care, peripheral line care, and PICC
line management - Experience with chest tubes and post-angiogram
management Description: This position requires the nurse to work in
a fast-paced environment with a diverse patient population. The
nurse will be expected to provide care for patients with various
conditions, including chest pain, COPD exacerbation, renal failure,
and GI bleeds. Candidates should be prepared for the possibility of
emergency assignments due to severe weather conditions. Travelers
may be assigned to an emergency team during weather events.
Flexibility is crucial as holiday scheduling and transfers to other
units are standard. Additional responsibilities may include
administering blood products, starting IVs, and wound care
management. Attention to detail and adherence to isolation
precautions are vital to maintain patient safety. Candidates must
be comfortable with a patient ratio of 6 and may float to other
inpatient units as needed. Interdisciplinary support is available
from various service areas such as physical therapy and pharmacy.
All nurses should be skilled in basic life support and advanced
cardiac care techniques. This role demands a professional who can
